"Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet shed on the heel that crushed it." ~ Mark Twain

Hum...nice. I like that. It's comforting, soft, peaceful. I just overheard a guy in another conversation the other day say something about "I'll never, ever ever forgive so-and-so....." It stopped me in my tracks. I just had to wonder where that guy's life was headed.

I'm not a good forgiver.

I'd rather give than forgive. What kind of flower does that make me?

You've got me thinking on this one. Things that make you go hm-m-m-m. :)

I love me some Twain. No greater wit in literature.

Mr. Twain has all the best quotes.
My favorite (nowadays) is his asking Helen Keller if she was happy in her world. Yes, Mr. Twain, she replied, I am very happy in my world. He replied

"Helen, out here in our world, happy people are as rare as white black birds in hell."

Wasn't this originally "pansy" but they've re-written it as "violet" in the South? ; )

[Seriously, thanks for sharing this one.]
